The FAV currently offers no scholarships.
Students should check back to this website periodically to see if new scholarship funds have been established, as well as to review the eligibility criteria for each scholarship fund. Scholarship applications, details on application requirements, and notices of application deadlines will all be available on this website.
How Scholarships will be Awarded and Paid
High school seniors residing in the FAV service region who attend a public high school, a private or Christian school, or are completing their senior year in a home instruction program may apply for scholarships through the FAV. Scholarships may be used to attend a nonprofit postsecondary two- or four-year college, university, or vocational school in the United States, unless otherwise specified in the relevant fund agreement. The FAV ensures that all scholarship recipients are selected on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis and that selections are based on the specific guidelines and criteria for each fund. Scholarships will be paid to the post-secondary institution where the student is enrolled prior to the start of the academic term.
Eligibility Requirements
This website will provide the eligibility requirements for all scholarships. In the scholarship review process, scholarship committee(s) will also consider additional factors, such as:
- Financial need (unless a scholarship fund agreement specifies that the scholarship may be given to a student with no financial need)
- Academic achievement or potential (based on class rank, GPA and SAT scores, etc.)
- A history of active participation in school activities, community service, extracurricular involvement, and/or work experience
- References
Scholarship applicants must meet the above criteria as well as other eligibility requirements for the scholarship for which they apply.
